Ruth Truth 10: Listen

"8 So Boaz said to Ruth, ‘My daughter, listen to me. Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here. Stay here with the women who work for me. 9 Watch the field where the men are harvesting, and follow along after the women. I have told the men not to lay a hand on you. And whenever you are thirsty, go and get a drink from the water jars the men have filled.’ Ruth 2:8-9

There are at least 6 VERBS in those 2 verses that jumped right at me, so let's not hurry. And just soak in them.

The first verb: LISTEN

Boaz (a picture of Jesus) tells Ruth (a picture of the church / Israel) to listen TO HIM. There is a lot of noise out there. There is a lot of distraction.

Mary found the needful thing, which was to sit at Jesus' feet and LISTEN.

In the area of finance, managing your money and investing, it is also important to listen. You would be wrong to think God is not interested in your financial wellbeing.

But we do need to take time to stop, breathe, and listen. And follow His gentle promptings.
