What matters most in investing?
It's the holding and waiting
"The big money is not in the buying and the selling, but in the waiting." Charlie Munger
Seems easy eh? Unfortunately, that is one of the most difficult for many people because we are "wired for action". We want to be in control, be doing something. As if in doing SOMETHING, we could make our investments go up faster.
In all my years of investing, one of my biggest regret has been not holding on to great companies once I found them and invested. If you are early in your journey, don't repeat my mistake. Like the dog in this picture, don't let go of your winners too easily!
Find a great company.
Invest at a fair price.
Rinse and repeat.
